Hi my name is Laura and im from little New Zealand :) I love taking photos, even though the hardware isn't that great (Sony CyberShot), because i love the way it captures the moment, otherwise never to be seen again :D

Once i broaden my horizons away from the dog lol, hopefully ill start to take some interesting photos :) But for now poor Lily is my not so willing subject :o

It will be good to hear what you all think of the ones i do take though!

You uploaded some very nice photos. As for Sony, it is a great brand in digital photography and they supply many other camera brands in sensors. The Nikon D70 uses a Sony sensor per example.

As for the CyberShot, that was my parents camera so i decided to get my own. I got a Fuji FinePix F10 :) So far its a great camera, but im still figuring out what settings to use where :rolleyes: . Ill share some photos once ive started getting snap happy :)

It is an excellent camera! The only compact that can take great photos at high ISO. If I get a compact one later, it would be that one :)
At 400 ISO the quality of the photos is wonderful. It gets great reviews on many magazines. You chose well.

Im still trying to figure out when to use the high ISO or the flash, when to use auto or manual settings etc. But ill get the hang of it soon though :) I love the look of it as well which always helps :)

I remember reading a review either here or at BW which lead me to the decision, but i cant find it anymore lol. Plus i found it pretty cheap at a parallel imports place for $449 when it sold at an electronics store for $799. Crazy mark ups anyone? :rolleyes:
