I noticed a while ago you posted some of your pictures on BW and one of them was of that giant metal spider. Well the art gallery in my city has purchased that contraption, and it is on display outside of the National Art Gallery. It is um.. interesting to say the least. Anyhow I took a picture of it and some other pictures while walking around downtown today (Canada Day). Apparently my good camera needs to be serviced ( or so it said when I turned it on) so I was forced to use my not so good fuji. The picture isnt the greatest quality.

Where is it? I want to see the spider again!

Very familiar and it is nice to see it there even if I regret not being able to see it anytime soon! I wondered where it went the second time I visited Tate Modern. Thanks for the photo and information!

Yes we have one here in Ottawa, apparently there are only 6 or 7 of them in the world. I tried finding out where the other ones where but couldn't find them on the net. I have a picture of the one here but I couldn't upload it.

You could not upload it because it was too big file or because you reached the space limit?
I did not know there were several of them :)
