Friday nite I bought a Tamron AF28-300 F/3.5-6.3 lense. It seems pretty good haven't taken too many pictures yet. I Also bought a filter for it too a Tamron skylight 1A filter.

I'm waiting to see some photos with your new lens,as i read here http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=247&sort=7&cat=43&page=1 it's light weight.It's only 420gr and this is very good when you travel and also you would take better photos without the tripod.My tele weighs 720 gr

I have three reviews about that lens (if it is the Di version) from photo magazines and it gets very decent reviews. At Fredmiranda it only gets 6/10 but then only six people voted so it is not really significant. The only problem is you do not get a very wide angle as it becomes a 45 mm (28mm x1.6) on the 350D but in exchange you have a very long zoom with 480 mm (300mm x1.6). Be sure to use a tripod to avoid shake or use a high ISO to have enough speed.

Yes, Olly its a di version. I have no idea yet about the ISO speeds. Will have to read about this. Au moment si seulement aim and shoot:)
