I took this photo of Paris while flying from London to Nice. The quality is not great but keep in mind the photo was taken through the not so clean window and at 10,000 meters (32,808 feet). I used a Canon Pro90IS (2.6 megapixel, x10 optical stabilised zoom).
In the middle of the photo you can see Notre Dame and its two towers (http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1139).
Below Notre Dame (almost at the bottom of the photo) you can see l'Hotel des Invalides and its golden dome (http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=209).
Below the Hotel des Invalides, slighly at the left, you can see the Eiffel tower (http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=206).
At the left of Notre Dame you can see a formal garden. It is the Jardin des Tuileries (http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1080). Above the garden, you have Le Louvre museum (http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1083).

That was from the time I was going to France to get the Canon 350D. I decided to take the pro90IS with me to leave it at my parents place. It was the only camera I had in the airplane as I left the Nikon D70 in London.
I usually do not carry a camera with me all the time. I need a compact for it (smaller than the Coolpix 5000) or a good cellphone :)

For a week, sure. I went only once to NYC and it was for the dog show! I miss Compusa as well. LOL
