Dear Friends, I got a 350D but recently when I take pictures some of them come with a blur like out of n focus, and I heve to put sharp on it. I am sure I got the correct focus on it. Is a problem of my camera or is normal on SLR's?
Tks in advance.

Did you use the M or Autofocus? If the view finder is not adjusted properly, you would think that the focus is right, but it wouldn't.
Or the problem might be from camera shake when handholding in low light condition,or maybe you need more depth and this is why some of your photos "look" out of focus.
Had you tried at f.16 or f.22?DOF is 1/3 in front and 2/3 behind point of focus and if you shoot at f.4 or f.5 might this makes your photos look blur
I believe that if your camera had back focused(spell?)problem all your photos would look blur.
It would be better if you have any photo to show us :)

Yes! I have this very same problem with my Canon Digital Rebel SLR. In fact, I was just about to post the same question :)
I will try your advice Douma. So far I have been using autofocus mainly.
On some photos I had the same problem but it happened in automatic autofocus mode and I believe the AF did not select the correct AF point... Compared to the Nikon D70, the 350D's focus area (with 7 points) is fairly wide so if there is a focus error, it will be noticeable.
I still use the autofocus but select manually the focus point (usually the one in the middle).
Good luck!

Thank you all of you. I think I solve the problem with Olly purposal, just focosing with central point I am getting better results.
Tks again.

I am glad it works better for you :) It looks the camera selects the closest object when it is in automatic mode. The 350D is not very user friendly for changing the focus point as we need to turn the dial and to press a button at the same time. With the Nikon D70 you only need to press the 4-way controller in the direction you want.

I have selected the central point, some days after i got the camera, because in difficult conditions it couldn't focus well, but selecting it,the focus is very fast.
I had forgotten the central point,Olly you are clever ;)
