I wonder what sorts of bottles you'll see? :D What is ouzo? A Greek drink? Checkers 09-20-2005, 12:40 AM My bottles :D http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1453&cat=515 http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1452&cat=515 http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1451&cat=515 KAZOO 09-20-2005, 08:47 AM Courtney, Ouzo is indeed a greek aperitif and made only in Greece. It tastes exactly like licorise. If you ever get your hands on some, try adding a capfull to your fried meatballs for something different. You can check out this link for more info on how it is made. http://greekproducts.com/greekproducts/ouzo/ Douma 09-20-2005, 07:22 PM Here is a bottle of vinegar with rosemary into http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1459&limit=recent and an empty bottle ,it was uncoloured and the background was a white paper and i changed the colours on photoshop http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1458&cat=500&ppuser=3 Olly 09-23-2005, 10:32 PM Some very nice photos there! Here's mine :) http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1465 I like ouzo. I use to drink it often with my Greek friends when I was a student :D Douma 09-24-2005, 08:48 AM Olly as you mentioned on my photo you have a bottle of spicy oil for pizza,is it common in France to use this? I wonder because we had a bad/funny experience in France with that,we had gone at a restaurant and we ordered a green salad with cheese and pizzas and they brought a bottle with oil and as we used to do in Greece we put it on the salad  ...and as we used to do,we put a lot of this,at that time we hadn't realized why people were looking at us,but i found why very soon. :D It was really HOT!!People looked at us smiling and except for myself and my husband that we burned our mouths,i also was feeling sorry for the waitress because she looked somehow doleful with our stupidity, she wanted to change the salad for another one for free, but we wouldn't accept that because it was our fault. :o finally they treated us a few beers. Here in Greece they used to place at the tables a bottle of olive oil and one of vinegar and in some restaurants a very very tiny bottle of spacy oil and we thought that the spacy oil placed only into tiny bottles :) Courtney 09-26-2005, 02:35 AM I am always late, forgive me. Here is my photo: http://www.megapixelworld.com/photography/showphoto.php?photo=1505 Sophia - here in the US we have spicy chili oil for pizza in Italian restaurants. I love it (but I love very spicy foods). Your story was very funny! I would have probably done the same thing! :) Douma 09-26-2005, 11:50 AM I am always late, forgive me. I love it (but I love very spicy foods). :) I don't like spicy foods,i only use herbals and lightly pepper/salt,thus you can imagine my face at that moment :D Olly 09-26-2005, 12:17 PM Olly as you mentioned on my photo you have a bottle of spicy oil for pizza,is it common in France to use this? It is common only in Italian restaurants like pizzerias. You would not get a bottle of spicy oil in any other restaurants. In the south, you might get a little bottle of virgin olive oil (like in most Mediterranean countries I believe). Sorry to hear about your experience. LOL Courtney: I love spicy food too. There are some Indian restaurants in London with incredibly hot food. Several times I had tears and even did not feel well. LOL They are the vicious kind: they appear mild at first and when you realise they are strong (I was going to write toxic), it is too late... Water, bread can't save you :D Douma 09-26-2005, 01:54 PM It is common only in Italian restaurants like pizzerias. You would not get a bottle of spicy oil in any other restaurants.
