If your camera or flash take AA alkaline batteries would you use rechargeable batteries instead of AA?
Some people told me to do it,but someone told me that if i fire the flash more than twice in a minute the batteries could overcharge and there is the chance to destroy the flash.
Someone else told me that the rechargeable batteries could overcharge only when their are on the charging adaptor.

I would always use the rechargeable batteries. I haven't heard of them overcharging while in use, but that's just me :)
Hopefully other people know more about it!

That's possible but most good modern chargers have a little processor calculating the exact charge needed so there is no risk of overcharging.

Hi.
The S7000 has a feature that allows me to "de-charge" (is that the right word?) the batteries, too, so they won't form a "memory" and thereby reduce battery life.

The prospectous of canon flash doesn't write anything about rechargeable batteries and this is why i wonder

Well, they say nothing against the use of rechargeable batteries either :D
I think you are really paying too much with batteries (also the BP511).
Have you posted at dpreview about it?

Olly (currently in France since this afternoon, and it's icy! At least I took photos of snow ;))
