I just upgraded my computer with 5 port USB 2.0 card and an internal card reader that fits in place of a 3.5 in. floppy drive. The 2.0 ports sure are a lot faster. It doesn't take long at all to load pictures into the computer and having a card reader right in front of the tower is a lot better than the one that I have to plug into the back. And best of all, it was cheap. Both units together cost me $22.75 and the shipping was free!

Thats what I need to do. I only have one USB1 port that works. I have to keep switching it between the internet, camera, printer, ipod, etc etc. Its a pain! Might have to look into it ;)

One month ago i bought a card reader and it's so fast!I wonder why all these years i had not got one. Before the card reader, using the software of the camera i could transform from the camera to pc,about 5 photos per minute and now using the card reader 50-60 photos per minute :D
I have always used the card reader (excepted with the old Olympus that had to be connected using a serial port at that time) to save the camera's batteries :)
USB 2 rocks indeed :D

I always use a card reader too. It really is the easiest way to download photos! :)
