Douma 01-28-2006, 09:57 PM What do you mean "sunny"?Harsh light is not good for photography, but the light is necessary for action, wild life and bird photography To be more specific the best light to take good photos(at least in Greece) is at the sunny days during Spring and Autuum and the worst light is during the summer :) Checkers 01-28-2006, 10:01 PM Well, sunny I mean no clouds and bright. But today for instance it is cloudy, but has quite a glare. There is plenty of light today, but I suppose when the sun comes out it is just too much light with the clouds being so white. Now im confused lol  Douma 01-28-2006, 10:19 PM Shutter speed is very important for flight and action shots. You could set at the TV the shutter speed 1/750 or faster 1/1000 and see the results,if the photo of the bird would turn out clear and sharp the light is good :) Checkers 01-28-2006, 10:35 PM I dont think I can change the shutter speeds on my camera. It will be ground shots mostly. I dont think geese and swans can fly :) Douma 01-29-2006, 07:39 AM It will be ground shots mostly. I dont think geese and swans can fly Then there isn't any difference from taking a portrait of people or another animal and a bird which can't fly.You have just to pay attention to DOF (Depth of field). The smaller f-number f/2 or f/4 has a shallow depth of field and anything in front and behind of the subject will appear blurred and this is very good for this type of photography :) |
