I have this problem, when I open say to MPW and I minimize it and open something else my MPW disappears, this happens to everything I minimize when I open something else my first one disappears. It doesn't happen on Moe's computer? Anyone know whats wrong here.:o

Can you see it on the tool bar,right of the "start"?If so,you could open it again with right click of the mouse

Yes I see it but when I open something else up it disappears right away. I used to be able to have maybe8 or more things open but they disappear right away, I'm sure something has to be done but I haven't the faintest clue.

Do you have Internet Explorer? Maybe theres a problem with that. Is it just MPW that goes or all the windows? Sometimes when my computer has a brain fart IE decides that one page isnt responding, so it closes down all the IE's that are open.

It happens on all my windows, except for outlook express.

Do you get an error message of any kind?

No no error message

I was asking my brother about your problem. He has a few questions:
Does it happen all the time?
Have you installed any new progams? Visited new web sites?
He suggests that you might try checking folder options in the control panel and try changing the settings for "Browse folder" Maybe hit the reset "Defaults button"
The "Folder options is under "Appearance and themes " in the Control panel if you are in Category view.

He says other possibilities are too little memory, too low a number in the page files or swap file setting etc.????

Sorry I took so long to get back, well I went into the browser folder and changed a few things and it seems to work now, hugs to your brother and you. Thanks so much, the only one that doesn't seem to work at the moment is, mega pixel always erases boxerworld and vice versa. thx for the info. Now It seems that only four windows stay open and they seem to take the place of others if you know what I mean. They don't seem to stay minimized but bump each other off, could it be something to change again in my control panel?

I'm glad that things are better, though it does sound like things still need to be fixed. :( Computer are great when they work, but not not so great when they don't.

Maybe they are being hidden. When you have more than 4 windows open, is there a little arrow that appears on the bar at the bottom. They could be on two rows.

Thanks Laura but I couldn't even get two to stay open, seems better now but some windows still close out others.
