NEAT IMAGE!!!
As they said"Neat image is a digital filter designed to reduce visible noise and grain in digital photographic images"
I downloaded it yesterday and it's GREAT!!The results are very impressive and the usage very easy!! I used it yesterday and i had great results with my photos
I had problem because i havn't scanner so i had to photograph again the photos that i had took with the Canon eos 500N and i couldn't take so good results, but now with this program the photos are better

Download here..

I will try it again :) I used this program years ago but wasn't very impressed.
I almost always take in 400/800 ISO. Even at 1600 ISO when it's too dark and I have no tripod and the photos aren't that bad. In fact, resized to 1024x768 the noise is hardly visible.

I hardly take a photo in 400 ISO and never in 800.Probable your photos turn out much better from mine and maybe this was the reason you weren't impressed with the Neat image!!you just didn't need it ;)
i hadn't used the neate image yet with the photos that i had take in 400 ISO but these photos...

...had noise because i had taken again the photo with the digital camera from the original photo and now, using the neat image turned out great, maybe a bit soft, but i like it :)

With the two first photos I see well the difference but with the two last ones nothing! But I think it's because the photos are too small to really judge. I have downloaded it and will try too! :)

I know it's a small photo but i havn't any other place to put a large photo :( Even when the photo is 600x400 you couldn't see the difference
I can't wait to see your test!
Tomorrow I will upload some photos before/after :)
I need to find some very noisy photos taken at 1600 ISO first!
I didn't find very noisy photos taken with the D70 but I found some noisy ones taken at 400 ISO with the Coolpix 5000 :)
You can see the images at
http://www.megapixelworld.com/neatimage
I put some 100% crop of the original size so the difference can be seen.
Neat Image certainly improves the photo.

Great!!! i can see, that the centre of the photo finised with the neat image looks like a velvet!!
Could you take photos in 800 and 1600 ISO with your Nikon D70 without noise?it's impressive!! Wish i could tell the same thing about my Canon
Sophia, there is some noise at 1600 ISO of course but it is not the annoying one. It's more a high ISO film photo look. I think for the moment the Canon 20D is the best at high ISO :)
