It sounds very interesting. Too late for me though. :)

last nite I was at Future Shop and stopped to take a look at Canon eos 8 Meg camera and was really impressed, it was a rebel can't remember which one exactly but now that I've seen the Ds350 I think I'm going to wait till they come out. Olly do you think this is a good camera? I read the specs but it doesn't really tell me anything. I hardly know what to look for. The one I looked at last nite looks exactly like the DS350.

Colleen, you probably looked at a 300D (rebel) in its black version, or it was the 20D. If you are certain it was a 8 megapixels from Canon, it was probably the 20D (also owned by FlashyFan here) :)
It's impossible to tell how it will be without a review as it is using a new sensor, not the one coming from the 20D. Technically, it looks very nice considering its price :)

Olly, I don't regret buying the one I did. I'm still figuring out how to use it. :)

I ditto Jan... still trying to fine tune understanding of our Canon 20D. Of course, I keep thinking of things I need (flash, lenses, etc.) instead working with what I have. Overall, I love this camera... I can't wait until I really learn how to use it :rolleyes:

I think there are some ebooks about your camera. I see one at http://www.shortcourses.com/bookstore/canon/book_canon20D.htm but I don't know if it is good. I got one for the Coolpix 5000 at http://www.digitalsecrets.net/secrets/FAQ.html and it was very helpful, compared to the camera's manual.

I saw this on Amazon.com just yesterday! I am contemplating it but it did seem to get mixed reviews. However, given that I am very much a novice, it may be helpful to get me started. Thanks for the link, it actually has a more detailed description than Amazon.com. As always, very helpful Olly.
