We only know it has 10MP and that it will be released in 19 days. LOL
I do hope it has an inbuilt dust cleaner system... Not confident though!

It looks like they are reusing the body of the D70. I am happy with the D70 but I would like a better viewfinder, like the one used on the D200.
The Canon 20/30D have good viewfinders, same with the Minolta 7D and the best is the Canon 5D apparently (I don't count all the pro SLR that are excellent of course). Also, it would be nice if it can cover 100% but I am dreaming. LOL

I think they will name it D80 :)

There is a review of the D80 at http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/nikon/d80-review/index.shtml
It looks very good! My D70 might retire ;)

The D-lighting feature is very interesting and useful!!!
"The retouch menu has a lot of things that were borrowed from Nikon's point-and-shoot cameras. The D-Lighting feature will brighten up the dark areas of your photos, with a slight increase in noise as the after-effect."

It is nice but softwares can do it too. I am more interested by the viewfinder that is good. Viewfinders of the D70/350D were the worst in a test done by Chasseur d'Images (largest photo magazine in Europe), then there was the 20D, the Minolta 7D etc and the best was the 5D. The 200D was just below the 5D if I remember well.
On the D70 it is not easy to take photos focusing manually. Maybe a little easier on the 350D but it is more grainy.
