Hello!
I have a problem which may have a silly solution and maybe it has happened to you too?

I use the eos20d canon whith the 70-200 lens and now whith the 10-22 :-)
I do indoor shooting and I use the canon 580EX flash...

The problem was that it wouldn't reload fast enough and after several shootings it wouldn't flash at all

I used initially some AA batteries that worked well (can't remember the brand) and then I bought some others which took me just half way through (around 50-60 shootings) and then I tried some rechargeable which died pretty quickly! Very embarrassing situation and I cant afford to go through this again... I suspect it's a battery problem. They were AA and Ni-ME (the last ones at least)... but anyway...

are there any specific betteries used for the flash?
Any suggestions?

thanks
eleni

I use a 380EX with AA or recharged and after several flash fires, maybe 20-30,the recharging time becomes longer and longer. The solution is to carry more batteries, you could also get the Canon CP-E3 battery pack which holds 8 AA batteries and work in conjunction with the 4 batteries in your flash for a total of 12 batteries.
