My name is Olly and I live mostly in London since last summer but I am frequently in the South of France too.
I used to have a Pentax SLR in the past and several compacts film cameras. At the end of 1999 I got my first digicam which was a Olympus C920 (a 1.3 megapixel with a x3 optical lens that doesn't work anymore). Then in February 2002 I got a Canon Powershot Pro90IS (a 2.6 megapixels with a x10 stabilised lens) after reading reviews online at dpreview.com, steves-digicams.com, dcresource.com and a site based in Singapore that I can't find anymore. In December 2002, I got the Nikon Coolpix 5000 as I needed a wide angle after using the long zoomed Canon.
In October 2004, I got the Nikon D70 with its 18-70mm lens and I love it.
With the Canon, I had several add-on lenses: a wide angle converter from Canon and a x1.7 lens converter Olympus TCON17.
With the Coolpix, I have the Nikon WC 68 lens converter that gives 19 mm.
I have two minitripods and one normal tripod.
I take mostly photos of landscapes, buildings, animals and insects :)
