I really didn't know where to post this, its not really a camera question. My husband and I are looking into getting a really good telescope this year and we are looking for a camera that will adapt to the telescope so that you can take pictures of the sky etc. We saw one Canon 10 meg yesterday. I was wondering if anyone on the board has tried this, attaching their camera to a telescope?

I tried it with the Coolpix 5000 but it didn't work well as I didn't have an adapter... Look at this link (http://support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin/nikonusa.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_sid=5k2dF_yh&p_lva=&p_faqid=1282&p_created=1053018376&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9MTMmc F9wcm9kX2x2bDE9OTUmcF9wcm9kX2x2bDI9MTE5JnBfY2F0X2x 2bDE9fmFueX4mcF9wYWdlPTE*&p_li=)
Nikon has several spotting scope and they usually can be attached to their digicams too.

Here is a link to a site about telescope adapters and more: http://www.digitalastronomy.com/html/adap-t_digital_camera_telescop.asp

Usually it is better to have cameras with lcd screen that can be rotated so you do not have to go upside down for taking photos of stars ;)
