I just added some photos to my gallery. I was pleased how well they turned out considering the camera was hand held. Next time I am going to have to take my tripod.

They are good and sharp images,i doubt that a tripod would help to take better results.Did you use a zoom lens?

I was using my 75-300 zoom lens. It was probably on maximum zoom. The birds were flying so fast it was hard just getting them in the frame. :)

These are great Jan, I never have great success getting birds in flight. I like the pelicans :)

I think your inbuilt image stabiliser helped well. Your photos look sharp.
