I was looking at one of the photos I've uploaded of the flower today and it really doesn't look very good at all compared to the original. I resized it so it was below 200kb but not at 760 pixels as per instructions in the Photo Gallery Rules - is this why it looks poor compared to the original? I'm just asking so I can do a proper job next time :)

If you have a photo over 760 pixels, the server will resize one version of it at 760 and the other one at 800 pixels maximum. It does nothing else than resizing but of course resizing damages the photo.

That's why on BW we insist about uploading in 640x480 pixels per example.
If your photo is 800 pixels exactly, then you will have a 760 pixels version (resized) and a 800 pixels version (original - untouched).
The best here is to upload 760 pixels maximum photo as recommended :)
