In a week I go back to France and then I will revisit some châteaux in the Loire Valley, with cameras this time :)

The ones I plan to visit are Azay-le-Rideau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azay-le-Rideau), Chenonceau (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Chenonceau), Amboise (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_d%27Amboise), Chambord (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Chambord) and Cheverny (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Cheverny) (the model used in Tintin comic).

These are stunning - lucky you :)

I particularly like Chenonceau - looks like lovely gardens too.

I trust you'll be taking tea with Captain Haddock at Cheverny ;)

Shall be looking forward to seeing your photos.

Finally back and very tired by the long drive. The weather was usually good :)
The only castle I did not visit was Cheverny but I added the castle of Blois (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_Blois), the medieval city of Carcassonne and a few pretty villages to the list.

I will upload more pictures in the next days. Here's one of Carcassonne (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carcassonne):

Thanks :)
I think next time I can do better because I know when to be there for better light. Also, for some places it is worth renting a canoe.

What a great shot of the Blois Castel, there is so much detail in the picture.
The reflection of the water inthe other one is beautiful, it gives the castle such an elegent look.
