In October I got this very wide angle zoom and I am very happy with it!
Here is a photo of a new friend taken with that lens:

It starts at f2.8 and is extremely sharp. The only downside is about the protection of the lens. It is almost like a fish eye so no direct filter on it and the lens hood does not protect well. It is also a little heavy at about 1kg.
I already have the Sigma 10-20 so why getting this new lens? Well, I plan to get the D700 which is a full frame camera and the Sigma only works on small sensor SLRs.
